I wish I could introduce myself to you
But we already met.
In a hiccup of spin
We tottered instead of meshing.
Sometimes it’s hard to breathe.
When you float into the vacuum I’ll be waiting
With a lanyard to pull you back,
If you want.
I know how to find the air but not
How to box it or
Bring it along.
Pay me with a story to learn.
Start at the tips of my fingers
And work your way down my arms.
When I look at my hands
I am tired of staring at fate.
Ink doesn’t need oxygen to whisper.
But we already met.
In a hiccup of spin
We tottered instead of meshing.
Sometimes it’s hard to breathe.
When you float into the vacuum I’ll be waiting
With a lanyard to pull you back,
If you want.
I know how to find the air but not
How to box it or
Bring it along.
Pay me with a story to learn.
Start at the tips of my fingers
And work your way down my arms.
When I look at my hands
I am tired of staring at fate.
Ink doesn’t need oxygen to whisper.
